Who are you and why should I care about you?

My name is Valentine Filatov, and I’m an aspiring (but also chaotic and delusional) author who can vibe with any genre so long as the book I’m reading is interesting. My writing is rather straightforward and easy to read, so you don’t have to be afraid of pages upon pages of exposition dumps and flowery prose before you get to the beginning of the actual story.

Currently, I am working on my webnovel “The Phantom and the Empress,” which has been on my mind in one form or another for close to a decade. The webnovel itself will be available for free, however, I am planning to release an updated and completed version with additional content later down the line. In the mean time, you can check out my near future science fiction novel “Lodestar Conspiracy” if the idea of a story about an android cult in a city on the coast of Antarctica piques your interest.

All my published writing can be found on my books page. My debut novel “Lodestar Conspiracy” is available on Amazon and Itch.io. “The Phantom and the Empress” will be released chapter by chapter on this website. Any other projects will be released in a similar way once I get to them.

Are you active anywhere else?

I am very active on my Twitter and Bluesky accounts, so if you want to contact me or if you’re interested in reading about my political opinions as well as seeing what I’m up to in video games, that’s where you should start.
